The History of Evergreen Academy

In 1999, the Lord called Pastor Michael Gabbert to establish Evergreen Baptist Church (EBC). The vision started with the acquisition of a 40-acre plot of land designated for EBC's future home. This site would encompass a worship center with the capacity to seat thousands, as well as dedicated classrooms for Bible study. Additionally, the ministry would include a counseling center, retirement village, prayer retreat, and a family-oriented recreational area. To fully realize this vision, the plan also called for the creation of a K-12 conservative Christian school.

After many years of praying, this part of the vision began to unfold. A conservative Christian school was created as another strategy of the church's vision to pass on the faith and to develop the next generation of Christian leaders. In today's society, it has become apparent the academic world needs a greater Christian influence and the creation of this school is an expression of that faith. It is a way to partner with Bible believing parents so they can accomplish the task of training and handing off the faith to the next generation. The school exists to provide support to parents in this endeavor, producing the next generation of Christian leaders who will carry the faith forward. In August of 2024, after many years of praying and months of planning, a school known as EVERGREEN ACADEMY opened its doors to a group of students, kindergarten through third grade, and the process of producing Christian leaders of impact and influence began.
